60 Seconds! Atomic Adventure for iPhone is a dark comedy atomic adventure of scavenge and survival. Collect supplies and rescue your family before the nuke hits. Stay alive in your fallout shelter. In the minutes before disaster strikes, everything will be against you – time, your very own furniture, the house that’s different every time you play, and the fundamental question – what to take with you and who to leave behind? You can’t obviously take every item in your house. So you have to quickly decide on the fly which items you need the most. Eventually, it is your choices that decide your survival and beyond. If the central character of the game, Ted, isn’t near the trapdoor (where he drops off things) when the 60 second timer is up, you’ll lose.
Reaching the fallout shelter in time and alive is only the beginning. It can be called the second phase. This phase might not be as exciting as the initial phase, but is nevertheless challenging. Whatever you scavenged and whoever you saved will play a vital role in your survival in the fallout shelter. Using a survival journal interface, you progress from day to day, rationing out supplies to each family member, deciding whether or not it’s risky enough to venture outside for more supplies, while dealing with randomized events as they pop up. As the supplies last only so long, sooner or later, you will have to send a family member or two out to forage for more supplies. But they can carry only one item when they head out. So it is your choice of the item that decides whether they’ll make it back safely, or perish out in the apocalyptic wasteland out there. The randomized elements in both phases ensure that no two games are the same. This adds to its replay value. The graphics of 60 Seconds! Atomic Adventure iPhone game is impressive. Sound effects are a nice touch as well.
It is a bit difficult to guide Ted through the house using touch based controls. At least, initially, you’ll feel so. Your survival in first phase depends on how quickly and judiciously you decide on the items you got to scavenge from the home in the 60 seconds. You also got to strategize and plan the optimal use of the saved resources in order to come out alive from the fallout shelter. Taking all these into account, you can term the game play of 60 Seconds! Atomic Adventure iPhone app as challenging. You got to be on your toes to survive. The game is stable and responsive as well. Check it out if you are in the lookout for a solid narrative-driven survival game with lots of fun and challenges.
