Octodad: Dadliest Catch game for Android is about destruction, deception, and fatherhood. Here, the player controls Octodad, a dapper octopus masquerading as a human, as he goes about his life. The whole experience is about trying to pretend that you’re something that you’re really not. You can download the game for $4.99 from Google Play Store.

The Game

In Octodad: Dadliest Catch game for Android, you are controlling an octopus with wife and two kids. Don’t ask how the kids became human. You don’t get any good answers. You might also feel that there are things you should know more about. This confusion is because Octodad is a sequel to a student game that the principals of the studio made while they were students at DePaul. Its game play will take some time to get used to. You control the octopus that is pretending to be human (still with all unmasked tentacles) trying to do normal human things like going grocery shopping, mowing the lawn etc. The octopus’ existence is a constant struggle, as he must master mundane tasks with his unwieldy boneless tentacles while simultaneously keeping his cephalopodan nature a secret from his human family. Then there is this maniac chef who wants nothing more than to reveal you for the fraud that you are.

Octodad’s wacky physics create hilarious moments that are different every time. The writing, including the interpretations of Octodad’s various blubs and gurgles, is just fantastic. Be surprised by the randomness of Octodad’s flailing or express your own sense of humor by making Octodad do silly things. The game also has an all-new adventure that explores Octodad’s world, relationships and backstory. Users may enjoy additional NVIDIA PhysX features through playing on NVIDIA SHIELD as featured in SHIELD Hub. The game is largely stable. It requires Android OS versions 4.2+.

Fun To Play

Octodad: Dadliest Catch game for Android is certainly fun to play. It got great story, hilarious moments, good graphics and realistic physics. It is hard to control at first. The option to choose any level you wish to play is a nice touch. There are also mini games that are fun to play. I had few issues with the camera placement though. Performance wise, it is slick and responsive. Check it out if you like games with humour.
