OrasisHD iPhone App Review

| February 17, 2018 | 0 Comments

iPhone definitely got an awesome camera. But what is wrong in having an app that could enhance your pictures more? OrasisHD for iPhone does just that. It is a 1-shot HDR app that enhances the image automatically at the moment the photo was clicked. OrasisHD app costs $1.99 to download from iTunes.

Automatic Image Enhancement

OrasisHD for iPhone takes a Single image and automatically transforms it to a well-exposed, natural-looking photo, simulating the way your eyes perceived the scenery at the moment the photo was taken. It uses a proprietary image processing algorithm: dark and bright image regions are enhanced, revealing information that was not visible previously. Importantly, well exposed areas of the pictures are not affected. This is one feature that is not offered by even the leading photo editing apps in the industry. You can either click and photo or import one from the gallery. The app will automatically enhance the photo. You can however tweak the settings to get the exact look you want. The app includes 14 pre-sets that you can variably apply to the photos. That should be enough to hit the ground running. Once enhanced, you can share the photos with others via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or email.

The user interface of OrasisHD for iPhone is thoughtfully designed with potential uses in mind. The various options are easy to find. You can adjust the brightness of dark and bright areas separately (in manual mode). Switching between modes is also easy enough. It also supports multiple languages including French, German, Italian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese. Performance wise, the app is slick and responsive. The app requires iOS versions 9.0 or higher.

Best Image Enhancing App

So, does OrasisHD for iPhone helps you achieve HDR standards? In reality, not. It tries to lighten the shadows and/or darken the highlights or make a shift in colors in the shadows to bring about the dynamic range effects. But in real HDR photo several different exposures are combined to get the High Dynamic Range. For the normal eye, OrasisHD enhances the pictures. But HDR is still a farfetched thought. The UI layout is easy to navigate. One-click sharing option comes handy. Support for foreign languages helps non-English natives. The app is also stable. Check it out if you’re in the lookout for an image enhancing application to go with your iPhone.
