PAKO 2 game for iPhone is a more challenging sequel to the original. In this arcade game, you work as a getaway driver tasked to deliver crew from their heist spot, and escort them to safety in dramatic chase against the cops. PAKO 2 app may be downloaded for $1.99 from iTunes App Store.

The Game

In PAKO 2 for iPhone, each run begins by picking up some robbers, and then you need to drive to drop off locations safely while avoiding police in cars and choppers. Then you pick up a new crew and the chase continues. How long you can outrun the cops? That is what the game is all about. Every successful safe deliver nets you cash that you can use to upgrade vehicles or unlock new locations. Each new car has its own stats for health and speed, as well as weapons that your crew can use to fend off the cops. There are 20 different cars and five different locations to unlock. The game starts in a desert with a relatively easier landscape to follow. But the going gets tough as you got navigate ice, mountainsides, and other obstacles on the way. Each time you successfully reach the destination outrunning the cops, more cops will join the action. But your car automatically fires back as long as there’s a proper angle lined up. The helicopter firing from above makes the ride a lot more challenging.

What makes PAKO 2 interesting is that you’re always bordering on the edge of destruction owing to low HP, camera angle, and the speed of the game. The top-down perspective gives you a fair idea of what is coming your way, and react accordingly. In the early stages, with just 3-5 HP under the hood, the cops can stop your car by just colliding with it couple of times. But you can earn back HP with each location you reach successfully. The graphics is gorgeous to say the least. It is also stable.

Final Take

PAKO 2 for iPhone is not quite on the level of chaotic pacing of Reckless Getaway 2. But it is close enough. The chase gets challenging as you unlock new locations. Your aim is to outrun the cops as much as possible, across multiple assignments. The top-down perspective makes it easier to assess your premises. Performance wise, the game is slick and responsive. Check it out if you are looking for some fun filled driving action to kill time.
