Assassin’s Creed Identity establishes itself as one more successful Android version of the very famous Assassin’s Creed game series, which still reigns as one of the most popular action-adventure game franchises since 2007. The game which is sized at around 100 MB, tries its best in recreating the terrific game-play and the fantastic graphics again, on the mini mobile screens. This RPG game application costs $4.99 to download from the Google Play Store.

Features

Unlike the game’s PC or large screen versions, Assassin’s Creed Identity for Android does not have a major storyline or a large gaming arena associated with it. This time, you are provided with smaller missions, levels and quests with a few turnarounds here and there. The game is set in the period of Italian Renaissance and just like its predecessors, you will have to take upon different roles and identities, thereby moving the story forward. Some of the roles like Trickster, Shadowblade etc are available for free while the others require an in-app purchase. A full fledged inventory tab is provided from where you can equip the player with weapons, armor, outfits, skill sets and so on. Once you have created and customized your desired assassin, you directly get placed in the first level of adventure.

Though the makers have cut-short the story part, the graphics and other technicalities are recreated in all its glory. Every character, object and the environment in the game are shown in a very detailed 360 degree landscape view, which look and seem very original. The animations which include the long combat missions are also very engaging and are capable of holding your attention for long. The same goes with other technicalities like the sound effects, artworks, menu screens etc, which are absolutely topnotch. However, the controls in the game are quite difficult to handle and master. The virtual joypad located on the screen doesn’t seem large enough to fit a normal sized finger or thumb. In a game involving multiple skills and tasks, the controls are an integral part and the application doesn’t score much on that aspect.

Conclusion

Assassin’s Creed Identity for Android is sure to satisfy and please all the fans and regular adventure game-lovers alike, if you are ready to ignore the small glitches and negatives that come along. Recreating at least half of what it had achieved in the large-screens itself is a major accomplishment and the developers are really successful in making that happen in your android smart phones, again.
