Slender Man App for iPhone Review

| September 13, 2013 | 0 Comments

The PC version of Slender Man had many fans. It was genuinely scary and hence interesting as well. The game was about how long you could survive before slender man gets you, with only your wits and a flashlight to aid you. But can the same be said about the game’s iPhone version? Let’s find out in the next few paragraphs. You can get the iPhone version of Slender Man app for $2.99 from iTunes.

Slender Man App Features

In Slender Man app for iPhone, you’ll wander in a closed area hoping to avoid Slender Man. The objective is to find all eight hidden tapes before Slenderman gets you. Twin virtual thumb sticks control the direction you walk and shine your flashlight. However, as it was found out, you can’t navigate effectively through the surroundings, thanks to the sloppy camera that refuses to work in conjunction with the sticks. Consequently, the Slender Man will have no trouble tracking you down.

When the Slender Man comes close, the screen becomes fuzzy and you can run in the opposite direction to save yourself – of course until he appears again. The intriguing aspect of Slender Man for iPhone is that if he ever gets close, he won’t do anything other than standing next to you. If he bumps you, you freeze – you can’t move. That’s it. As a result, the game gets boring after sometime, especially if you’ve played the PC version before.

Slender Man App for iPhone

There is no suspense; no sound effects to keep you engrossed; and it is not the least bit scary. There is no footsteps beyond you to simulate the ‘you’re chased’ feel. Instead, the screen goes crazy and you no longer could move. Slender Man is compatible with iOS versions 4.0 or later.

Final thoughts

Slender Man app for iPhone is not at all scary, game play is not impressive, and there are no sound effects to induce the feel of fear in you. The graphics is also below par. The controls don’t work properly either. It is not challenging and it is not fun. To pay $2.99 for such a game does not make sense. Verdict: Avoidable at best.
