The Little Fox Game for iPhone is a twitchy hexagonal runner that gives the players a different perspective on “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. In the game, the fox takes the place of the protagonist – a charming little character with a big heart. You can get the game for $2.99 from iTunes App Store.

Features

The Little Fox for iPhone game’s low-poly graphics is impressive. Personally, I love the style of low-poly graphics. The mix of bright and vibrant hues to dark and rich tones, depending on the fairytale world that you’re in, makes the game looks gorgeous. The cut-scenes that explain the story in between levels are beautifully animated. Generally, we found the animations to be smooth and fluid with no apparent lag whatsoever. The soundtrack augurs well with the game play unfolding in front of you. The Little Fox game has got 13 fairytale worlds to run through. But these levels are not easy on any count. Each of these levels has an endpoint that you got to reach to proceed. The game also keeps track of how many attempts you’d done.

The innovative game play is easy to learn, but tough to master. The controls are intuitive. As you guide the Fox on his search of the Prince, you got to help him maneuver through hexagonal paths that wade through various environments. But it takes Just two taps (on the left side of the screen to turn left, on the right to turn right) provides full freedom for moving through the game world. When a turn comes, tap twice to do a full turn in that direction. Given the fast paced nature of the game, this is not as easy as it sounds. Little bit of practice will help you a lot. On the way, there are speed boost tiles, slow-down tiles, and shiny blue crystals to collect. The moment you crash into an obstacle, it is game over! There are no checkpoints. You got to start over from the beginning. But if you long press on the screen, you can see where exactly the point where you died at. This will help you to have a second look at the mistake you made, and be better prepared next time.

Conclusion

You’ll like The Little Fox for iPhone if you’re a fan of twitchy reflex runner games in general, and enjoy seeing yourself improve after many numerous attempts. The game play is challenging for sure. Even though it got only 13 levels, it’ll take some time before you eventually manage to finish them off. Controls are intuitive. The graphics is gorgeous, while the animations are slick. The soundtrack is also decent. Overall, a fun hexagonal runner game worth checking out, its $2.99 price tag notwithstanding.
